Young Authors!

This week, our preschool children embarked on a wonderful adventure to the local library brimming with stories, imagination, and inspiration! As we stepped through the doors, the children were very excited to see all the new books and stories on the shelves. The preschoolers explored the library with curiosity, flipping through picture books, pointing out their favourite characters, and talking about what they thought each story might be about—just from the covers! It was magical to watch how the artwork, colours, and designs captured their attention and sparked their imaginations. Back at nursery, the inspiration truly came to life. Each child had the chance to design their very own book cover, drawing on what they had seen and imagined. Using pencils, markers, and a touch of storytelling magic, the children created vibrant covers for the books they wished existed—from tales about superheroes and animals to adventures in space and under the sea and transport. This activity not only nurtured their artistic talents but also encouraged early literacy skills and a love for books. We are so proud of their creativity. Well done Preschool!
