Bug Hotel (1)

The children in Grasshopper's celebrated Outdoor Learning Day by creating their own bug hotels in the forest. They ventured into the local woods armed with real tools such as saws, hammers, pliers, and scissors. Once there, the children worked collaboratively to gather sticks by cutting them from branches using the scissors and saw. They all did an outstanding job of listening to safety instructions and learning how to use the equipment safely. The children used hammers to drive nails into pieces of wood that we had brought along. They then tied string to the nails and attached their collected sticks to create bug homes!
