Eid Celebrations

The butterflies have been learning about the story and meaning behind Eid as part of our special art activity!

They shared a simple version of the story of Eid with the children, explaining that it is a very important and happy celebration. We talked about how Eid comes after a special month called Ramadan, when families spend time being kind, helping others, and sometimes fasting during the day.

The children learned that Eid is a time to say “thank you,” to celebrate with loved ones, wear nice clothes, give gifts, and enjoy delicious food together. We also spoke about how people help those in need during this time, showing kindness and generosity.

To connect this learning with our creativity, the children made beautiful stars and crescent moons—symbols often seen during Eid celebrations. As they painted and decorated, we discussed how the new moon helps mark the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid. It has been a lovely way to explore different cultures, encourage understanding, and celebrate kindness and community. We are so proud of how engaged and thoughtful the children have been.

Eid Mubarak to all our families celebrating!
