Making Fruit Salad
The Butterflies really enjoyed preparing their own pudding for lunchtime. The children got to utilise their fine motor skills by cutting up a range of different fruits. The children were so careful when using the knives, and listened so well to instructions. This activity was based on a big interest in our room recently, a song called Fruit Salad by The Wiggles. At lunchtime, the children got to come up and choose which fruits they would like in their bowl, and serve it themselves. The Butterflies got to choose from strawberries, mango, honeydew melon, watermelon, apples and bananas. They used good decision making skills to choose what they wanted to have even though most of them had it all because everything looked so yummy!
