The Grasshoppers had an exciting time creating a beautiful mosaic using tissue paper! They began by picking the perfect object to project its shadow onto paper, then they started projecting the shadow of a hippo onto the paper using the projector. Before placing the colorful tissue paper pieces, the children sprayed the paper with water to help the colors transfer better. Then, each child took turns adding their piece to the hippo’s shadow while discussing how big hippos are and what they might eat! After all the pieces were placed, they carefully peeled off the tissue paper to reveal the vibrant, colorful hippo mosaic art! It was a magical moment as we peeled the tissue paper back to see colors blended together!
