Pull Along Mark-making

The Grasshoppers explored a very exciting and different kind of mark making this week! They rolled out a large sheet of paper on the floor and added lots of colourful markers. Taking turns, the children lay down on the paper while their friends — with support from a teacher — gently pulled them along. As they moved, the markers created wonderful long lines and patterns across the page.
This fun, laughter-filled activity supported so many areas of learning. The children were developing their gross motor skills and coordination as they pulled their friends, while also strengthening their core muscles and body awareness. It was also a lovely way to build trust, teamwork and communication as they worked together and took turns.
