Pumpkin Exploration (1)
The Butterflies have had lots of fun exploring pumpkins. The children looked inside the pumpkins exploring the different textures. They used a variety of different tools to scoop out the middle including tweezers, scoops and spoons. The children used fine motor skills to handle the tools as they used skills that will support them with early writing skills as they strengthen hand muscles. The children talked about what they found inside the pumpkins and what might happen with the pumpkin seeds, using lots of describing words such as slimy, wet, sticky and cold!
