Today, Theodore’s dad came to visit and brought some exciting science to the grasshoppers. He engaged the children in a fun, interactive experiment focused on our solar system, teaching them about the planets and their names. The highlight was when Craig set up an experiment to create comets! He began by filling a black bag with sand and three different liquids, and then added the thrilling dry ice. When Craig poured hot water over the dry ice, a fantastic reaction occurred, creating fizz and steam that amazed everyone! The children watched in awe as they learned about this cool chemical reaction. They also took turns shaking the bag to compact all the ingredients together and made their very own comets! It was a hands-on experience that sparked lots of curiosity and excitement among the children!
