Under the Sea Playdough

Grasshoppers have been exploring some under the sea themed activities this week. The children used their hands and a variety of tools to roll, press and mould the playdough, experimenting with how they could change its shape and texture. This helped to strengthen their fine motor skills and hand control. Once they had created their playdough bases, the children began designing their own underwater landscapes. They carefully chose from small objects such as gems, fish and stones, placing them thoughtfully to represent the sea environment. Many children talked about what they were making, showing imagination and developing their language as they described their creations.
