Voting for Snack
The Grasshoppers took part in an engaging fruit ballot activity. In small groups, the children used child-safe choppers to prepare apple, pear, orange, and banana, showing great focus as they practised their fine motor skills and safe tool use. The children enjoyed tasting the fruit together and sharing their thoughts on flavours and textures, supporting language development and confidence. After snack time, they voted for their favourite fruit using a ballot sheet, learning about turn-taking and fairness. During circle time, the children helped Chelsea count the votes and were excited to discover that orange was the winning fruit.
