Today the Ponies took a trip into the local community to take photographs. They looked around as we walked to find interesting things that they chose to photograph, they explored using the iPads to take photos by focusing the image, pointing where they wanted and pressing the button to capture the photo.
As we walked we saw lots of different people, the children waved and spoke to local hairdressers, baristas and toy shop workers, as well as people who were exercising, walking their dogs and even other children on a trip!
They developed an awareness of different occupations, especially enjoying learning that people can take photographs for their job and that they are called photographers. They spoke about being construction workers, dog walkers and hair dressers while they ate their lunch together back at nursery. They also spoke about turning our home area into a little house, a dog groomers, a vet or a gardening centre based on what we’d seen and learnt on our trip around town!
Well done Ponies!
