This week in Blazes, we’ve been learning all about the different jobs our mums and dads do. The Blazes were so excited to share what they know — from teachers and builders to nurses, shop workers, and people who work on computers at home. We talked about how every job is important and helps other people in different ways.

Quite a few of the Blazes have noticed their mums and dads working from home, especially using laptops, answering phone calls, and joining meetings. This inspired us to set up our very own office role-play area.

Today, the Blazes had lots of fun pretending to go to work. We created desks with paper, keyboards, notepads, and telephones. The children enjoyed answering pretend phone calls, typing emails, writing important notes, and organising their “work” for the day.
