Our Nursery Chef Rickie is at the heart of our kitchen with a passion for fresh food and healthy eating for children, Rickie carefully plans and prepares balanced meals that are both highly nutritious and full of flavour. These menus are overseen by our Children’s Nutritionist and incorporate ideas from parents when we do our menu consultations with parents and the older children.
Every dish is made completely from scratch, from hearty mains to tasty dips, homemade sauces, and wholesome sides, all created using fresh, quality ingredients. Rickie focuses on providing meals that support children’s growth and development, ensuring the right balance of protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, and plenty of fruits and vegetables which are within the current guidelines for children’s nutrition. Our Child Nutritionist praised the dips as, ‘Brilliant’.
Rickie thoughtfully and carefully adapts menus to suit dietary preferences, requirements, and allergies, making sure every child is included and enjoys mealtimes and snacks safely. Rickie also introduces new flavours and textures to help expand little taste buds and encourage positive eating habits from an early age.
For Rickie, mealtimes are about more than just food, they’re an opportunity to nurture healthy relationships with eating, promote independence, and make every child feel cared and catered for at the table.
