Today the Stars enjoyed playing Phonics Bingo, practicing words for our Phonic of the Week which is M. They went over the name and sound of M, and recounted all of the objects they found the their Phonic Basket yesterday before learning how to play Bingo.

They children picked the game up quickly, enjoying trying to put a counter on their card first so they could shout “Bingo!” Some of the children even helped their friends to find pictures on their cards to they didn’t miss them.

They picked up lots of new words starting with M that they hadn’t thought of before, such as Moana, Money and Mirror. This activity is fantastic to strengthen their visual recognition of the letter M as well as widening their vocabulary by reminding and introducing new words to them. The children will have opportunities to play this optional activity again across the week!
