Over the past few days, the Blaze class has been exploring pin boards with various resources. We recently introduced real pins into our risky play. Before starting, we discussed safety measures and completed a children's risk assessment, focusing on how to stay safe during the activity. Once we had established our confidence, we began using pins and hammers with loom bands to create our own pictures. We also had shape templates to help us replicate the shapes on the boards. We are thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to explore risk safely and can’t wait to do more risky activities in the weeks to come.
