Science Experiments With Ponies

Today, the ponies had an exciting day exploring different science experiments! With curious eyes and eager hands, they dove into activities like mixing colours, making it rain and learning how things float or sink. It was a fun-filled day of discovery, as they learned through play and hands-on experiments, sparking their imagination and wonder for the world around them!

We started off by watching a educational video on what was supposed to happen during each experiment, this got the ponies extremely excited and eager to get to work.

The first experiment we did was “Does it float”. They began by choosing their own object to put into the water, then before putting it into the water they had to give a prediction on wether it would float of sink. After they would put their object into the water and see if their prediction was correct, once they figured out if they was correct or not they would put their object into the “yes” or “no” bowl. On the last object there was a little bit of a debate wether it floated or not as it was an open pot that floated but then filled up with water and sank. The ponies said “ that’s because the water made it heavy!” How clever. The ponies really enjoyed this and they all got their predictions correct !! Well done ponies. 👏

The second experiment was “make it rain” and this consisted of the ponies putting shaving foam ontop of water in a pot and then dropping some paint (colour of their choice) over the foam, after a while the ponies where in shock when they see that the paint had fallen through the foam and dropped into the water, the ponies mentioned that it looked like it was falling from a cloud, well done !

The final experiment was “Filling the cup” Where the ponies made two different coloured water pots and put tissue between them both to transfer the water to the middle one, they all chose red and yellow so it would make orange!

The ponies had so much fun taking part in these activity and asked if we can do more science experiments in the future! Well done guys.
