Today the Blazes enjoyed a fun and exciting swing painting activity in the garden. We took turns swinging a bottle filled with paint over large sheets of paper to create our own unique swing art. The children experimented with different movements such as swinging fast, slow, high, and low, and watched how the paint splashed, dripped, and spread in different ways.
We talked about colours, patterns, and how far the paint travelled, making predictions about whose swing would go the furthest. This activity supported the children’s creativity while also helping to develop their gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and turn-taking. The children were very engaged and proud of their colourful artwork.
