Today in Ladybirds, the children explored Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. We learned that Rosh Hashanah is a special time for new beginnings, reflection and looking forward to the year ahead. The children also discovered some traditions of the celebration such as having apples and honey to symbolise the hope for a sweet and happy year ahead. The children enjoyed tasting apples dipped in honey and learning about the meaning behind this lovely tradition. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about another culture and celebration, while sharing a special experience together.
Shanah Tovah! Wishing everyone a sweet and happy New Year
